How we do it
Collaborating on the virtual script
There's an 8 hour time difference between Dublin and San Francisco, so sometimes Deirdre's head is a little fuzzy after a day in the office. Deb is patient because she does lots of yoga and because she knows how lucky she is the time difference works in her favor and she doesn’t have to be creative after a long day of work.

We use Skype with a webcam for our calls to brainstorm ideas, craft our characters and backfill any plot holes.....
Once we’ve created the broad strokes of the story, we work out a beat sheet - a scene-by-scene summary outline of the script. Then we take the plunge and dive into scripting our draft, alternating scenes so we don't drift too far from the agreed premise. After we finish the first draft, we switch scenes to rewrite. Rinse, lather, and repeat.
We use Celtx for review of scripts and outlines.
The last time we met in person was in December 2008 in Florence, in Italy :-(
We're hoping to catch up in person again soon somewhere in the world.
